Education: Originally from southeastern Massachusetts, Jamie graduated from St Mary Academy – Bay View in Riverside, Rhode Island. They then attended Bucknell University and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering. After three years as a software engineer in the consulting world, Jamie made a career switch, and is currently enrolled in the masters in chaplaincy program at Hartford International University.
Experience: Jamie tutored math throughout high school. In college, they led a number of organizations, earning the “Bridge Builder” award in recognition of their community building efforts. As a software engineer Jamie trained several colleagues in programming and technical design. They are a firm believer that anyone can learn how to code.
Specialties: Jamie enjoys working with students in all levels of math, from pre-algebra to AP Calculus. They also excel at computer science, physics, chemistry, and executive function. They strive to instill confidence and enthusiasm through their approach to STEM subjects. Jamie understands the challenges facing neurodivergent students and employs a variety of strategies to develop engagement, motivation, and focus.
