Your College Planning Timeline

Hi all,

Please enjoy our latest informational blast about the college planning timeline for high schoolers. I hope you find it informational and useful, and don’t hesitate to reach out to scheduling@mlstutors.com if you have additional questions or are interested in finding out more.

Best,
Evan

Imagine this: it’s your student’s senior year. They’re taking a challenging but totally manageable course load, competing in sports, spending time with friends and family. Because they’ve already accepted an offer from one of your top choice prestigious universities (like 30% of the incoming class that was accepted during early admission or early action), they’re totally chill and able to fully enjoy this monumental year of their life.

That is not a fantasy, it is reaping the benefits of having a plan in place and putting in hard work early in your high school career! Regardless of where your student is now, MLS has a plan for you; see the attached checklist and let us know when you’re ready to jump in. In the short term, here are a few suggested action items:

  • All grades – Use spring break and summer break to weave in in-person or virtual visits to colleges and universities

  • Sophomores – Use this summer to prep for the SAT and/or the ACT

  • Juniors – Use this summer to work on your college applications and essays

MLS is here to help both in-person and virtually, which means you can work with us while still having your dream summer vacation. Summer scheduling begins soon; schedule early to get your preferred time slots!

Sincerely,

The MLS Team
