Small group tutoring is a highly effective way for students to build academic, study, and organization skills. Students experience a comfortable environment where necessary skills are taught and then practiced independently in a format designed to transfer to the “real-life” school experience.
Students meet with tutors in the group setting for approximately three hours, a time frame which allows for organization, teaching, and completion of a significant amount of school work. Tutors with expertise in elementary and secondary academic subjects instruct and coach during these group sessions. The average student-teacher ratio during group work is three to one. During the school year, MLS offers group tutoring sessions Monday through Thursday.
